Thought For Today

Return on Investment (ROI) can be defined as a performance measure used to evaluate the efficiency of an investment or compare the efficiency of several different investments. Most think of ROI as a return on a monetary investment. I think as Christians, our definition of ROI needs to be much broader than just financial investments.

At Celebration Web Design, we do our absolute best to look at ROI not just through financial eyes but through spiritual eyes. Sure, we need capital to run the organization, but I pray that never becomes the driving force in our company. God has allowed us for over 19 years to have played a part in sharing the Gospel with thousands and thousands of people. We have been blessed to be able to help churches, authors, missionaries, counselors, and non-profit organizations spread the Good News through their internet presence.

When I watch the news, it is hard not to be concerned about my personal health especially during this pandemic. Yes, sometimes I find it difficult to think about my spiritual health rather than my personal health, or the health of Celebration Web Design.  I often must remind myself that God is in total control, and if He is, what is there for me to be concerned about? If I should be concerned about anything, it should be a concern about living my life for Him.

Are we investing our time in the right areas so that there is a Spiritual Return on our investments. At Celebration Web Design, we are very fortunate to be able to see some of the things God does through our partners’ websites. We all know there are times when we do not personally experience a return. Whether we experience a return or not, we are called to do the planting and watering and God is the one who provides the growth, the real return.

Whether you are an Author, Missionary, Pastor, Counselor or Lay Worker, as fellow workers for Christ, let’s keep on doing our job. We know God is faithful and will continue to give the growth. I encourage you today to take the time to pray and ask the Lord for His direction. Then, just wait and see what God can do. 

I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the growth. So neither he who plants nor he who waters is anything, but only God who gives the growth. He who plants and he who waters are one, and each will receive his wages according to his labor. For we are God's fellow workers.
