Celebration Web Design cares about security and email safety. Everyone knows not to send a “prince” your bank account information. However, as people get smarter so do the crooks. Here are some tips to help with your email safety.

1. If you get an email saying your email account is going to be suspended. Its probably fake. Contact us if you are concerned.
2. Never click a link in an email, even from your friends. Instead open up your browser and navigate directly using the browser.
3. Never open an attachment you were not expecting. If you do, make sure it is from a trusted source. Be careful, a lot of emails come in with fake purchase orders and invoices.
4. If you get hacked. Do not panic. Reset your passwords and add secondary authentication.
5. Check the email address. Ignore the auto populated name that the emails says its from, but check the actual “name@domain.com”
6. Ignore logos and graphics. Spammers do a really good job at making emails look legitimate.
7. Do not give personal information out unless it’s absolutely necessary and only to a trusted source.
